 Auto Image Pro offers two types of training
courses. Our most popular is our Auto Detailing Marketing &
Hands-On Training Seminar which is held usually one weekend per month
here in Pittsburgh. We limit the enrollment to 20 individuals. Day one
is an intense, information rich marketing class, day two is “hands-on”
professional auto detail training.
Exterior hands-on training includes: Prep stage wash-up, engine
shampooing, bug and tar removal, wheel cleaning, tire cleaning, door
jamb degreasing, final wash-up. We also teach the student how to
properly use a rotary buffer, orbital polisher, and dual head random
orbital. The student will also learn what choice to make regarding pad
and buffing product selection. The student will also be instructed the
proper dressing methods and final detail inspection and presentation to
customer.
Interior hands-on training includes: Instruction on how to vacuum, air
purge, clean vinyl; leather, headliners, glass, plastic, dash boards,
consoles, door panels, and complete interior cleaning and detailing stages and
methods. The student will also be taught how to dress and condition
vinyl and leather interior components. Special attention given to the
instruction of the proper methods for carpet shampooing and extractor
procedures.
Exterior
Hands-On Training Includes:
- Customer
interview to determine what the exterior of the vehicle needs
- How to
select proper brushes & cleaners for that particular job.
- How to
properly and safely shampoo/detail an engine compartment.
- Cleaning
of wheels, tires, wheel wells, bug and tar removal methods.
- Proper
wash-up, claying, & prep of vehicle prior to detail (wash bay).
- How to
determine what buffing method to use for paint correction.
- How to
choose what type of pad, glaze, or compound to use.
- How to
wet-sand severe scratches complete with live demonstrations.
- Proper
method for applying & removing final cote of protection.
- Dressing
& conditioning procedure of exterior tires and trim.
- Glass
cleaning method for smear free windows & mirrors.
- Final wipe
down and inspection
- Presentation
of completed detail to customer.

Interior
Hands-On Training Includes
- Customer
interview to determin
- Proper
vacuuming and air purging of interior carpets, seats, pockets, etc.
- Proper
method to safely clean a cloth headliner & when to avoid
- Proper
cleaning procedure for all vinyl & leather components.
- How to
proficiently clean & detail all interior cracks & crevices.
- The use of
a hot water interior soil extractor for cloth seats & carpets.
- Proper
method to dress & condition vinyl, leather & plastic trim.
- How to
apply fabric protection to interior components.
- The use of
an Ozone Generator and when to use it.
- Glass
cleaning method for smear free windows & mirrors.
- Cleaning
of gauges & dash board.
- Final
touch-up, inspection & presentation to customer.
